Home Builder
Institute (HBI), the workforce development arm of the National Association
of Home Builders (NAHB), and publisher Thomson Delmar Learning, a
part of the Thomson Corporation, have teamed up with construction
professionals and educators to develop a set of national standards
for five separate craft trades: Carpentry, Electrical Wiring, HVAC,
Plumbing, and Facilities Maintenance. From these set of standards,
Thomson Delmar Learning has set out to create a set of learning tools
- textbooks, videos, and instructor's curriculum, Construction
